Irene Adler, as many know, is an important female force in Sherlock Holmes’ life, so it was only a matter of time before “Elementary” introduced her to their audience. As the show’s creator and producer Rob Doherty explained to Deadline: “We’re moving to the next chapter in our show – and in some ways, to a previous chapter in Holmes’ story [and] Irene Adler is perhaps the most pivotal relationship in Sherlock’s life.”

Hints have been dropped in “Elementary” over the course of this season, pointing to the important role that Adler plays in Sherlock’s past. Dormer will play the iconic character during a three-episode arc, which will culminate in the two-hour long season finale.

Are you excited to see Dormer’s portrayal of Irene Adler?
