In the wake of the attacks in Manchester, many people have been lending aid. For anyone unaware, a suicide bomber was present at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England last Monday. The attack took 22 lives in total and was the deadliest terror attack in England in 12 years.

Several celebrities have spoken up to aid those affected by the horrific events. The Red Cross set a goal of raising £2 million and is close to this number just days after the attack.

Amongst the A-listers to aid the cause was Eminem. He broke an ongoing stream of promotional material on his Twitter to ask his followers and fans to make donations to the British Red Cross. Afterwards, he returned to his regularly scheduled programing of promoting The Eminem Show anniversary. Eminem’s past philanthropic actions mostly revolve around Detroit youth and do not stray far from his own hometown. His voice in the wake of the Manchester attack is abnormal and must mean he feels strongly about the cause.

Also amongst the celebrity voices was Justin Timberlake. The singer/actor’s past charitable support has included a whole host of organizations. It seems that Timberlake is a real giver for causes from providing clean water to cancer research to providing for the homeless.

Considering how close the Red Cross is to their donation goal, these two (amongst other celebrities who spoke out following the attacks) must have made a difference. Between Eminem and Timberlake, their tweets reached 80 million followers, a number that is sure to cause an impact.

Neither artists personal donations to the cause have been disclosed at this time, but we can only imagine how generous they must have been. If you too would like to aid the cause, you can donate through Just Giving.
