Austrian and German Eric Clapton fans have been left disappointed as Slowhand has been forced to cancel two shows due to a problem with his back.
The official website of the 68-year-old British guitar legend released a statement saying: “Mr. Clapton has injured his back. All other shows will continue as scheduled. Further news on the rescheduling of these two concerts will be made at a later date.”
It went on to say that Slowhand was feeling bad about the cancellations.
“He is currently with specialists who will be able to better determine the course of treatment, He was looking forward to these concerts and regrets that he is not to be able to perform for the fans. He would like to apologize for any inconveniences these cancellations may cause and would like to thank the fans for their understanding. All tickets can be returned to the box offices for refund.” The legendary guitar god is next due to play a concert in Oberhausen on Friday, however there is no word on whether this date or any of the remaining dates will go ahead. Let’s hope Eric is able to continue with the rest of the tour which is due to end in Prague on June 19.
