Currently you can watch Ethan Hawke on the big screen in the recently released films The Purge and Before Midnight. But when October of this year rolls around, Hawke can be seen on Broadway starring in Macbeth as the tragic title character.
According to DigitalSpy, the new adaptation of William Shakespeare’s dark tragedy will open on October 24 at New York City’s famed Lincoln Center Theater and will be directed by Jack O’Brien.
This isn’t the first time people have seen Hawke on stage. He made his Broadway debut in 1992 as the playwright Konstantin Treplev in The Seagull and has starred in many more plays since then.
This is also not the first time the Before Midnight star has worked with O’Brien. O’Brien directed the production of Henry IV as well as The Coast of Utopia in which Hawke earned a Tony nomination for his performance as Mikhail Bakunin.
