As this season of television comes to an end it seems that so many fan favourites are facing cast/judging panel shake ups: Britney is OUT of X-Factor, the WHOLE Idol panel is done, and X-tina and Cee-Lo are coming back to The Voice (amongst other announcements). Over at Saturday Night Live, it appears that things are the same level of uncertain.
As we reported earlier, Seth Meyers is leaving to fill the Late Night spot after Jimmy Fallon takes over for Leno. Then Bill Hader announced that he too will be leaving SNL. Now it seems like the SNL family may be getting even smaller with rumors that Fred Armisen and Jason Sudeikis will most likely be flexing their funny bones elsewhere come the end of their contracts this season.
The great thing about Saturday Night Live appears to be that the actors seem to be the ones with the power to choose whether they say or go as show creator Lorne Michaels, when asked about Armisen and Sudeikis position on the show, was recently quoted, “…I think they’re making their decisions, and we’ll know soon enough.”
With the possibility of four cast members leaving does this mean more new faces? Or more screen time for this current season’s newbies?
