Everything But The Everything Presents “Denials”

“His vocal delivery teetered from hair metal to glam, always dark and delivered with power. I totally dug it.”

Izzy The Gent – AKA Everything But The Everything – is no stranger to the music world. An established concert promoter, musician (he plays bass), songwriter and producer, he knows full well what it takes to make a successful career in an incredibly cut-throat industry. His new single “Denials”, which PopWrapped are delighted to premiere, roars and soars with a New Wave sound, plenty of synth and a distinctive and brilliant bass beat, and features guest vocals by Tobias Hawkins, best known for being a founding member of Counting Crows, whose incredible, powerful and yet somewhat unsettling, ominous voice adds real depth to the track.

Collaborations are very much a staple of Izzy’s work, but this new track with Tobias is perhaps his best and strongest to date, highlighting just how well he knows that the addition of a different voice – one that can add a sort of new perspective to a song and its lyrics – can cause a track to resonate with a listener and an audience in a whole new way.

Asked about how he came to collaborate with Tobias on “Denials” and what he brought to it, Izzy says: “Tobias is the most rock and roll person I have ever met. My first impression of Tobias was that he looked like Rock n’ Roll if Rock n’ Roll was a person and his voice. His vocal delivery teetered from hair metal to glam, always dark and delivered with power. I totally dug it. This will be our fourth collaboration together and I hope there’s more to come.”
