Born and raised in Washington D.C., Scott Taylor has been performing since he was six when he joined his youth choir. It was his connection to music then that inspired him to pursue the wonders of music as a full time career, and he’s never looked back.
Influenced by the many soul legends of years gone by including Bobby Womack, Marvin Gaye, and Al Green, to name just a few, his songs are provocative, emotive, and deep and it is PopWrapped’s pleasure to premiere the video for his latest track “As The Tide Goes By.”
Led by an undeniable blues rhythm combined with a rock undertone, the song, with a rather lengthy instrumental introduction, showcases Taylor’s deep, soulful voice and presents him as an artist who is comfortable with who he is and the music he creates.
Taylor is an artist truly passionate about what he does and he has worked long and hard to be able to share his passion with the world. As he says of his purpose in this world:
I know I was put on this earth to make music and generate love.
