Felly has quite the talent when it comes to his artistry, and his motivation to succeed is higher than ever at this point in his life. Felly just dropped an EPIC collaboration with one of the most iconic artists, Carlos Santana. Directing his first video of his career, Felly is sure to have you wanting more. Truthfully, Felly is one of the most underrated artists of our time.
“It was definitely huge for me but not from like an egoic standpoint. I was just happy that he connected with the record from his heart. Don’t get me wrong I’m honored to be one of the people who have had the privilege to work with but he sort of showed me that we’re all soul beings and when you create something real and pure – it’s not that person anyway. It’s something higher and greater” Felly told us about collaborating with Santana. “I don’t think Carlos would take personal credit for all of his work for his major credit. Everything he does is through the grace of God. It sort of showed me to stop thinking I’m the one doing this. A very fun, liberating, relieving thing to understand.”
“Surf Trap” was a huge career starting point for the young Same Plate Entertainment artist. “I think Surf Trap was cool but I always tend to think my next work will blow the last out of the water. In Surf Trap I was finding my bearings and experimenting with new sounds. I’m starting to hone into what I love and what I find true to me now.” Felly notes.
Across all of his platforms, the audience that he reaches is impeccable. He has also gained over 155M streams across all major music platforms. In today’s day in age, streaming has become the popular way of listening to music from all of our favorite artists. Unfortunately, there are not many people who are buying CDS anymore and not many buy their music on iTunes, Amazon, etc. “That’s funny to think about. It doesn’t really feel like all that big of a deal. Maybe because I live in LA and am trying to have a catalog like Santana (haha). But thanks for the recognition. I try not to worry about how the music is consumed and to just know it will be consumed some way or the other – and if you create from your heart and with the pure intention it will end up in the ears of whoever is meant to hear it.” He explains.
Look for Felly’s next album to drop in 2020, as well as a possible tour.
