Finnish Singer Peppina Gets Ready To Debut First Album

21-year old Finnish singer-songwriter Peppina is becoming quite the performer. Peppina was raised in Helsinki, Finland and was trained as a classical flutist. She later picked up the piano, guitar, and ukulele.

Her songwriting abilities are influenced by Regina Spektor, Feist, Steve Wonder and David Bowie. While still in high school, Peppina discovered HitRECord, which is a collaborative forum for artists to post their content. She started posting her music and then began to gain popularity. She even gained the attention of HitRECord’s founder, Joseph Gordon-Levitt. He invited her to perform as part of HitRECord’s television special.

Since then, she has released her EP entitled Follow Your Gravity and has performed at the Sundance Film Festival for the past three years, earning the nickname the “Queen of Sundance.” She will be returning to the festival to showcase her music at HoneyRose Records and Rooftop Films premiere of Menashe. Most recently, Peppina has made the move to Brooklyn.

We here at PopWrapped are thrilled to give readers the first listen of her first single off her upcoming EP coming out this June. Her full debut album is due out this fall.

This track is so upbeat it makes me want to dance all day! Her style and songwriting really remind me of Sara Bareilles. Her vocals are so breath-taking and welcome listeners in. Her bubbly singing personality really makes it fun listening to her music. I recommend this song to anyone who needs some uplifting music to make their day better.
