The first poster for upcoming Thor sequel, The Dark World, has been revealed!
Reprising the title role for the third time is Chris Hemsworth, who is the focus of the promotional image, brandishing his notorious hammer and surrounded by a lightening storm.
Tom Hiddleston and Natalie Portman will also return as Loki and Jane Foster respectively, alongside Sir Anthony Hopkins, Idris Elba and Kat Dennings. Former Doctor Who star Christopher Eccleston and G.I Joe: The Rise Of Cobra’s Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje join the cast in new villainous roles, and Zachary Levis is to replace Josh Dallas as Fandral.
Game Of Thrones’ Alan Taylor’s latest directorial effort follows Thor as he ‘battles an ancient race of Dark Elves led by the vengeful Malekith, who threatens to plunge the universe back into darkness after the events of The Avengers.’
