It’s been almost ten years since That’s So Raven ended. The show lauched the career of Raven-Symoné and became one of Disney Channel’s most successful shows. The show starred Symoné as Raven Baxter, a teenager who would receive brief psychic visions of the near future. Trying to make these visions come true results in trouble, and hilarious situations, for her friends and family. The popular show ran for four seasons and was given a spinoff, Cory in the House. Now the show is back and we’ve finally have our first look.
After ending her job as a co-host for The View, Symoné is bring back her popular character for a spinoff titled Raven’s Home. In the show Symoné and Anneliese van der Pol are reprising their role as best friends, who are now divorced single mothers. The dynamic duo are up to their same crazy antics, but this time are living under the same roof raising families of their own. Things get even crazier when one of Raven’s kids starts showing signs they’ve inherited her ability to see glimpses on the future.
Issac Brown of Black-ish and Navia Robinson of Being Mary Jane will star as Raven’s 11-year-old twins Booker and Nia. Jason Maybaum of Superstore will play Chelsea’s 9-year-old son Levi. Sky Katz from America’s Got Talent will play Nia’s best friend Tess.
Symoné is set to serve as executive producer on the series, alongside Scott Thomas and Jed Elinof.
The new trailer doesn’t show much besides introducing viewers to all the characters and getting glimpse of their crazy antics. It does however imply the new direction of the show. Instead of following Raven, the show will mostly follow the adventures of her son, who inherited his mother’s psychic visions.
