It looks like Broadway star Matthew Broderick will have the chance to break out of the SJP shadow as it was just announced that he will be starting in a CBS untitled comedy pilot by Tad Quill (from NBC “Scrubs”). Broderick — who is still currently on Broadway starring in the musical Nice Work If You Can Get it — will play the lead role of Jack, a confident yet charming self-aware dad who’s committed to his son, Sebastian. When he finds himself pushed back into the dating scene by his well-intentioned son and married colleague, he’s initially hesitant but surprised when it goes well and he opts to sow his wild oats again.
