It’s obvious that fans of the hit ABC Family show Pretty Little Liars are excited for season 4 to begin, but there’s also buzz looming around the upcoming spin-off, Ravenswood. We’ve been following a lot of the casting news, so we’re definitely excited to share more details on the mysterious show.

The new spin-off will follow 5 young people in the small town of Ravenswood, a place not too far from the liars in Rosewood.  According to the Hollywood Reporter, these five strangers are all connected by a fatal curse and will delve into the mysteries and history of the town.

Back in April, it was confirmed that Tyler Blackburn (Caleb Rivers on Pretty Little Liars) would be joining the show making a move from Rosewood to the strange town. Executive Producer Marlene King told the Hollywood Reporter why they chose Caleb to be the one to make the move. “It’s been explored on the show that he doesn’t really know that much about his past and about his parents. Because of the nature of what Ravenswood will be, it felt like he was the best character to take us to that world and explore the mythology that we’re going to explore.”

Blackburn will be joining the regular cast composed of Brett Dier, Elizabeth Whitson, Nicole Gale Anderson, Britne Oldford and Merritt Patterson.

However Caleb won’t be the only citizen of Rosewood making a visit to Ravenswood. In the 7th episode of Pretty Little Liars, both Toby (Keegan Allen) and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) follow a clue that leads them there.

Marlene King also told THR that the people are different and the town is unique revealing that Toby and Spencer notice the obvious change in atmosphere – Spencer even refers to it as “Creepytown”.

And although there aren’t many details out about it yet, the Halloween episode will take place in Ravenswood. Thinking back to the first two Halloween episodes and how creepy they were, adding a creepy, mysterious town into the mix will definitely be something to look forward to.

Ravenswood will premiere in October and if it’s anything like Pretty Little Liars I’ll definitely be tuning in. Will you?
