Rainn Wilson, the actor known most for playing Dwight Schrute in NBC’s The Office, has announced that he is writing an autobiographical book set to be released in Autumn 2014.
In his statement, the 47 year old actor and comedian insisted that his book is not, however, a memoir: “Despite what my publisher might say, I wouldn’t call my book a memoir. If I were in my 80s, had cured a disease and survived a war, I would be entitled to write a memoir.”
Maybe Mr. Wilson is just being humble, but he went on to say: “The guy who is best known for playing a paper salesman with a bad haircut, tweeting fart jokes and starting a quirky spirituality website does not merit a ‘memoir’.
It looks set to be an exciting year ahead for Rainn as it was recently announced that he is also going to be joining the cast of Elijah Wood’s horror-comedy movie Cooties.
