BBC Radio 1 recruited the likes of Justin Bieber, Troye Sivan, Meghan Trainor, Nick Jonas, 5 Seconds of Summer, and more to recreate Kanye West's very naked and very controversial "Famous" music video. The new version features no nudity but plenty of hilarity...
By now you have probably already heard about if not seen Kanye West's controversial (understatement of the year) "Famous" music video. The one that puts him in bed next to a naked Taylor Swift lookalike with his equally naked wife posing next to her sex tape co-star Ray J. Not sounding familiar yet? Also in that bed were naked lookalikes of Chris Brown, Rihanna, Bill Cosby, Donald Trump, and Caitlyn Jenner. Ringing any bells yet?
Yeah, that music video...
Since Kanye's version was drastically NSFW (Not Safe For Work), BBC Radio 1 decided that it was time to give the fans something to watch in the workplace. In order to pull that off they recruited a slew of famous musicians who didn't quite make it into the original video to shoot their own version.
In order to pull off the dramatic feat Nick Jonas, Justin Bieber, Troye Sivan, Cheryl, Meghan Trainor, Carly Rae Jepsen, Craig David, 5 Seconds of Summer, and others hopped into a big bed and delivered some laugh out loud lines atop the "Famous" production.
"Out of the two of us who do you think is the hottest" Cheryl chokes out between laugher to an equally giggly Justin Bieber. Citing his perfectly symmetrical face as evidence of his better looks, the Bieber goes on to list his many other positive attributes.
Meanwhile, Troye Sivan is seen asking Meghan Trainor for her name, number, birthday, social security number, etc. Although he is adorably earnest, Trainor's response is a resounding NO! Nick Jonas and Carly Rae Jepsen appear together next. "I really, really, really, really, really, really like you" Carly Rae Jepsen comments, counting off the "likes" on her hands to a leather jacket-wearing Jonas. 5SOS wake up side by side in the bed, pondering if it may be time to spread out a bit. They probably could afford at least one more bed, but it seems that they value the bonding opportunity.
Rihanna's voice comes in on the "Famous" chorus as the video delves into a behind-the-scenes expose on the hilarity. And there you have it. No naked celebs, no naked celeb lookalikes, but still a good time for all!
