The ‘Panic Cord’ singer, Gabrielle Aplin, told the Daily Star that she’d love to write for One Direction.

“It’s not as if they are a group of boys who can’t sing – they are all talented…I don’t fan-girl Harry Styles but I think they’ve worked so hard to get where they are, so I would love to write something for them.”

She even went as far as saying that they had the ability to, “The Beatles of our generation.”

Aplin, who gained online attention after publishing acoustic covers of songs by bands like Paramore on YouTube, rose to fame when she released a cover of “The Power of Love” for John Lewis’ 2012 Christmas campaign.

The singer adds that she would like to experiment with her musical style.

“I wouldn’t just lay my voice on anything. But I’d love to do a collaboration; like a Calvin Harris track, for example”.
