Gal Gadot And Lynda Carter Team Up At Wonder Woman Premiere

At the Hollywood premiere Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot and Lynda Carter paired up on the red carpet to celebrate the movie.

Wonder women unite! At the Hollywood premiere of the hotly anticipated summer blockbuster Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot, star of next week’s big screen release, and Lynda Carter, star of the classic ’70s TV iteration, paired up on the red carpet to celebrate the new movie. Both stars hugged, posed for photos together, and even shared a sweet moment of bowing down to each other.

Carter expressed her excitement for the festivities on Twitter, sharing a number of photos from the red carpet (which was actually blue for the occasion) while also giving the finished film high praise:

The Hollywood premiere wasn’t the first time Gadot and Carter met, however. The two previously attended a United Nations event last fall naming Wonder Woman an honorary ambassador for the empowerment of women and girls. The U.N. ambassadorship was cut short a few months later due to the negative reaction the campaign received (because of Wonder Woman being a fictional character).

Sadly, this week’s Hollywood premiere appearance by Gadot and Carter may be the most fans will see the two pair up, at least as far as next month’s film is concerned. Last October, Carter told Variety that due to scheduling, she was unable to film a cameo in the new movie.

At the premiere, Gadot spoke with Entertainment Tonight about how excited she was to have Carter in attendance: “I just love her very much so. She is such a special woman and a unique person, and it’s always great to see her, especially tonight, where she’s going to see the movie for the first time.”

Directed by Patty Jenkins and starring Gadot, Wonder Woman also stars Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen, and Danny Huston. The movie hits theaters June 2.
