Friends and co-stars of the late Cory Monteith have announced they are setting up an arts scholarship in his memory.
Glee director and SYTYCD judge Adam Shankman made the announcement at the Dizzy Feet Foundation gala last night. Gleestars Darren Criss, Jenna Ushkowitz, Harry Shum Jr and Jane Lynch have already made donations to a scholarship through Dance Educators of America (DEA). All four of the stars have made public comments on how they have been affected by the loss of the 31 year old star. Jane Lynch spoke lovingly of Cory on a recent appearance on The Tonight Show and could be seen struggling to keep her composure.
After announcing the scholarship which will be in Cory’s name, he told the assembled audience "Thanks, Cory, we love you,"
Filming on Season 5 of Glee will begin at the beginning of August and will pay tribute to Cory in Episode Three.
