Sugar and Spice makes everything as ABC is about learn with its Mixology. Glee’s Vanessa Lengies has landed a lead in the network’s comedy pilot, which takes place in a sexy Manhattan bar.
The pilot follows five single guys and five single girls as they search for love during an evening. Lengies has been cast in the role of Kacey, a personal trainer by day and a waitress by night who has an upbeat outlook on life.
Along with Lengies, Adam Campbell (Touch, Wedding Band) and Craig Frank (Up All Night, The Lizzie Benet Diaries web series) landed roles as two of the other romance seekers. Campbell’s character Ron is an Internet success who has fallen in debt after his startup fails miserably, and Frank’s Cal is the resident meatball (translation: hot, dumb and uber masculine).
Lengies is best known for her role as self-diagnosed say-anything gal Sugar Motta along with TV credits in HawthoRNe, Castle, and Rules of Engagement.
How do you Gleeks out there feel about the possible loss of Ms. Motta to this new project? Are you intrigued by what the pilot has to offer so far? Let us know what you think!
