Season 2 of Grimm left us with a cliffhanger, where Nick, the Grimm himself had become a “zombie”.  According to David Giuntoli, who plays policeman/Grimm Nick, when Season 3 returns in October he will still be in a zombie state of mind.

Talking at last weekend’s Comic Con, Giuntoli explained “Nick is now a zombie,” he said. “His Grimm powers can be used for evil… So season three picks up right where season two ended – quite literally, right where it ended.

“And I’m not in much of the first episode. I have actually not yet gone back to work, whereas everybody else has filmed a full week. They’re all looking for me and/or dealing with me. So I do eventually wake up – I can’t say where, what country, or anything like that. But I start wreaking absolute havoc wherever I land.”

The star of the hit show did say that he was really enjoying being the zombie version of Nick, and it allows him to almost play a totally different character without leaving the show.

“It’s kind of cool, because I play this cop, this detective, but it’s almost as if I’m doing a guest star on another show right now as ‘Zombie Guy’. It’s fun – you get to do different things here. It’s really neat.”

Just before Nick became “Zombie Guy” we saw his relationship with Juliette finally getting back on track after a trying time throughout the season.  He confirmed that the pair are “looking to be back together” and he thinks the fact that Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) knows about Nick’s secret life is a good thing for the pair. “I think he’s relieved; I think he wants to ease her into this. But all of his people are there now, so it’s good.”

We will be able to discover how the “zombie” issue will be resolved, when Grimm returns to NBC on October 25 9/8c. This Grimmster can’t wait to catch up.
