Marvel has responded to the overwhelmingly positive reaction to the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer by releasing brief web videos introducing the Guardians themselves and the actors who play them.
The HD Room reports that the videos serve to give diehard fans more of what they’ve been anticipating while also reinforcing recognition of the characters to fans unfamiliar with the comics. Watch Bradley Cooper (Rocket), Vin Diesel (Groot), Dave Bautista (Drax), Chris Pratt (Peter “Star-Lord” Quill), and Zoe Saldana (Gamora) give their takes on what makes their characters tick.
Keeping in tune with the comedic tone of the movie, director James Gunn also tweeted a parody version of the “Guardians” poster, replacing all the text with the “Ooga Chaka” line from “Hooked on a Feeling,” the 1974 Soft Rock chestnut from Blue Swede that has nothing to do with the story of the movie yet still seems to fit it so well!
