H3rizon Release Mariah-Inspired Festive Single “One More Christmas”

“Our new single is about longing for that special someone during Christmas time, recalling the memories you’ve shared with them…”

Pop sensations H3rizon are best friends and each other’s biggest supporters. They met and admired each other at mutual solo gigs and together they realised that they are more than just singers; they’re artists in their own right. The Australian R&B girl group have found TikTok fame with their viral videos and stunning three-part harmonies and, after their previous singles “Serious” and “Maniac” exploded online with support from Rolling Stone Australia, it’s clear that H3rizon are here to take over the world, with a message of female empowerment and sisterhood.

Inspired by their idols, Mariah Carey and Donny Hathaway, H3rizon are adding their own Christmas song to festive playlists everywhere with their new single “One More Christmas”, which PopWrapped are delighted to premiere. The poppy, R&B-influenced bop is filled with the gorgeous ad-libs and runs that the girls are fast becoming known for while they sing about longing for somebody special during the holidays.

“One More Christmas” is particularly special to the H3rizon girls. “Our new single is about longing for that special someone during Christmas time, recalling the memories you’ve shared with them,” they share. “The incredible inspiration behind this song is our writer’s bittersweet story about her late father. Raquelle Gracie shared with us that her dad passed away a few years back and that she wrote this song thinking of all the things that reminded her of him at Christmas. Just as we’d love to connect with someone we missed but couldn’t be with, she’d want one more Christmas with him. We have so much respect for her penmanship and we’re so honoured to be able to deliver her story within this song. We hope that our creative direction in style, arrangement and harmonies does the story justice.”

Asked which Christmas song already out in the world had the most impact on this single, they add:“Undoubtedly, Mariah Carey’s most iconic Christmas song, ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’, is our biggest influence. The feeling you get when you listen to that song is something we wanted to emulate in our own track. It’s full of yearning, nostalgia, and joy, all wrapped up in a fun, upbeat vibe. Being a girl group, our harmonies are definitely inspired by the incredible groups who preceded us like Destiny’s Child, Spice Girls, and TLC.”
