Harry Styles and Taylor Swift are polar opposites, at least when they’re dealing with heartbreak.
Styles ended his one-year hiatus with a Rolling Stone interview, and he talked about what matters the most: his love life. His well-known ex Taylor Swift wrote two popular songs about the “Drag Me Down” singer, but his candid conversation was the first time he mentioned his affiliation to Swift. He had nothing but kind words to say about the pop princess, especially when he talked about her music.
“She doesn’t need me to tell her they’re great. They’re great songs … It’s the most amazing un-spoken dialogue,” he says. He was referring to her hits like Style and Out of the Woods, two songs focused on their romantic highs and lows. While the reasoning behind their split remained unclear, the general consensus was that they were on bad terms.
They were facing a host of problems, and they cracked under pressure. “Certain things don’t work out. There’s a lot of things that can be right, and it’s still wrong,” he says of his former relationship.
He and Swift parted ways years ago, but Styles still has love for the Grammy Award winner. He’ll always cherish their good times, and he’ll even cherish the bad times. He believes his time was well spent, no matter the cost. “I like tipping a hat to the time together,” he says.
His affair with Swift will always be remembered, and he’ll always reflect on their union of past. However, he’s moved on from the blonde beauty. He’s looking towards the future, especially as a solo artist. “The former One Direction fan favorite has a self-titled solo debut album out May 12. Harry Styles is ready to reintroduce himself to the world,” a USA Today article states.
