We applaud you Lady G, for your cryptic ways.
It would appear that Lady Gaga has revealed the title to her new single. In a recent image posted to the singer’s Littlemonsters.com social networking site, we see her makeup artist, Tara Savelo, sitting at an easel painting over artwork with a suggestive title across the top.
“Applause” is written across the top of the artwork and was posted with the caption “26 days,” which is more than likely alluding to the song’s release date, which we previously reported would be on August 19.
Nothing with this forthcoming album release has been straightforward; from the puzzling statement released on her Facebook page regarding the project, to the mysterious new app that will mesh all things holy into one place and now this photo. Gaga and her team are definitely succeeding at keeping Little Monsters across the globe anxious about the release of ARTPOP.
We here at PopWrapped aren’t hiding it; we’re waiting with baited breath as well.
The first single, which we assume is “Applause,” will drop on August 19 with the full album release to follow on November 11.
