Jay Roach (Austin Powers, Meet the Parents) is set to direct a potential single-camera comedy series for HBO titled The Third Coast, which has Annette Bening set to star. Bening and the producers (Paul Rudnick, John Lyons and Jay Roach) will do an informal reading before taking it formally to HBO.
Third Coast revolves around a casting director (Bening) in New Mexico.
This show brings the Oscar nominated actress back to HBO where she headlined the movie Mrs. Harris, earning an Emmy nomination.
Jay Roach signed a two year deal with HBO last year after directing the network’s Emmy wining Recount and Game Change.
