HURTS are currently in the promotional era for their upcoming, third record, Surrender, due out on October 9. The synth-pop duo recently dropped the funky countdown single “Lights” and it now has a music video to go by.
Directed by Dawn Shadforth, the 7-minute long extravaganza of a clip for “Lights” was exclusively premiered by HUNGER and finds HURTS shaking things up a little. Centered around some late-night drunk memories, frontman Theo Hutchcraft finds a partner and the two impress with their killer choreographed routine on the dancefloor, as their romance unveils. The two later manage to get into a fight, before taking their brilliant dance moves to the streets in the early hours.
“Lights” serves as the third offering to be lifted from HURTS’ forthcoming, third studio album, Surrender. The track is a follow-up to lead single “Some Kind Of Heaven” and the outstanding “Rolling Stone”. It will be followed by “Slow”, the fourth offering from the record that will come out on September 11 and serve as the second official single.
