I AM KAWEHI Shares Her Latest Single “So Bro”

“…I decided to write a non-serious song about bros who take bro-ing seriously.”

Pop-electronic loop artist I AM KAWEHI jumped on a lot of radars when she went viral for her rendition of Nirvana’s song “Heart Shaped Box”. In the time since, she’s toured the world three times, was featured in an INTEL commercial for the Super Bowl and amassed over 21 million views on her YouTube Channel.

Over the last eighteen months, she’s kept herself creative and by busy performing online with “The Quarantine Sessions” where she’s crafted mash ups like Dua Lipa x BTS  and reimagined covers like Alanis Morissette’s “Thank You”. Now she’s returned with the fun, danceable pop tune “So Bro”.

The idea for the song came to I AM KAWEHI while on tour and she recalls: “I overheard a drunken conversation between two guys who were making fun of a group of bros across the bar and I thought, ‘These two guys are so bro and they don’t even know it!’ So I decided to write a non-serious song about bros who take bro-ing seriously.”

With the world opening up again and live shows allowed to go ahead, she’s packed up Lieutenant Van (her tour van) and headed out with dogs and husband in tow for “The Quarantine Sessions on Tour.” She is currently touring the U.S, then will take her tour to Germany on November 17th before hitting the UK for a run of dates starting November 23rd.
