Another day and another member of the Star Wars family speaks out about their possible involvement in the new trilogy. Stars from the original trilogy, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill, have already made various announcements and comments about their return to a galaxy far, far away. Even George Lucas himself has dropped hints about the original three reappearing. Well now it looks like even Harrison Ford is offering up further proof that Episode VII will mark the return to our screens of Luke, Leia and Han.
Ford made an appearance in Chicago earlier this week at an event for Conservation International, his organization that works to promote and protect our natural resources to ensure a healthy planet for all. While on the red carpet, WGN caught up with the action star and asked point blank if he, Hamill and Fisher would be returning, he said:
“I think it’s almost true. I’m looking forward to it. It’s not in the bag yet, but I think it’s happening”.
The question no longer is if, but when, the official announcement of the trio starring in Episode VII will be. Star Wars Day is fast approaching (May the 4th) but with 2013 marking the 30th anniversary of the release of Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, events are already planned to commemorate that.
That makes it seem highly unlikely that a major announcement will occur then. How long will they keep us waiting in suspense? What could possibly be the hold up since everyone knows they’re involved? Keep following PopWrapped for all the latest news.
