Between Senate hearings, James Comey, and “loyalty pledges,” Donald Trump could use a little love.
His wife Melania and their 11-year-old son Barron just moved into the White House. They were originally staying in New York, so Barron could complete his school year. However, now that he’s “out for the summer” (an Alice Cooper reference), the mother and son relocated to Washington, D.C. “More than four months into President Trump’s term in office, first lady Melania Trump and the couple’s 11-year-old son have moved into the White House,” according to a Today article.
Thanks to Melania’s tweet, the world knew about the special occasion. At least she’s tweeting about happy news. Her husband, unfortunately, is on Twitter to talk more about his scandals than anything else. With Comey dropping bombshells (e.g., Trump asking Comey to end Michael Flynn’s investigation), the president’s embroiled in quite the controversy. He needs a little support, so Melania and Barron arrived at the perfect time. Of course, the two were both dressed in style. According to the same Today article, Barron’s faded blue tee “sold out on J. Crew, reminiscent of how Sasha Obama set off shopping stampedes with various items she wore.” His sense of fashion is par for the course, but what’s unexpected is how sullen the trio look.
Hopefully, jet lag is to blame.

In such an uncertain, not to mention crazy, time in Trump’s life, he needs his family now more than ever. They need him, too. However, regardless of the anxieties he and his family face, Melania remains upbeat in her Twitter post. She writes, “Looking forward to the memories we’ll make in our new home!” Before she reunited with her husband, she and her son would make the occasional trip to see Trump. Now, they’ll get to see him everyday. No matter what happens to Trump’s presidency, at least he can say that his loved ones are by his side.
Love truly conquers all.
