Is Disney Unleashing The Beast Again?!

I will never forget the first time I ever saw Beauty & The Beast, I was maybe 8 or 9 years old and I recall that I cried at the end. To this day, it remians one of the most beautiful Disney films to date and still has an amazing soundtrack! At this moment, we can tell you that this may only be in the very early stages of development and that Disney may be currently calling it “The Beast”.  It looks as though Disney is going to remake this wonderful animated feature from 1991!

Apparently, they are going back into their Disney catalogue for another animated film that can be turned into a live action movie. it looks as though they hope to have another Alice In Wonderland or Oz: The Great And Powerful. Doctor Who writer Joe Ahearne has been given the task of finding a new way into the tale of Beauty, and with his track record, it may be a bit on the dark side. Since he’s working with Disney, it’s not likely that he will be willing to test the limits. 

If you want to get an idea of Joe Ahearne’s previous work, he wrote and directed the made for T.V movie version of “Trance”, which ended up leading to Danny Boyle’s remake, which is to be released on March 27th.
