You don’t have to be a genius to understand that Netflix was really smart to snatch up Arrested Development for an exclusive fourth season. The show has gathered such a massive cult following since being canceled six years ago that snatching up such an opportunity was a no-brainer.

So how about a fifth season? It’s not out of the question.
Netflix CEO Reed Hastings seems to be interested in the idea, which he told CNBC. According to Hastings, whether or not they do more is “really up to the talent.” In other words, if the cast and writers are on board, so is Netflix.
So, are they? Yes, if what Jason Bateman recently told TVLine is anything to go by: “This [season is] just 15 episodes that serve as Act 1 of a three-act story…Those other two acts will be in the future; whether they’re a movie or back on Netflix, I don’t know.”
