You may have heard that the Ovation Channel secured the rights to syndicate the musical drama series SMASH. But now it seems like the Marilyn Monroe musical Bombshell, the centerpiece of the now cancelled NBC show, will live on even further than expected. Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, who were recently nominated for an Emmy for music featured in the show’s second season, said they are currently discussing ways for the show’s music to live on after cancellation.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Shaiman expressed that one possible idea would be a benefit concert an that one charity has already expressed interest in working with them. “A concert could feature the cast and additional performers from Broadway. That would be a wonderful way for the show to live on.”
What do you think? Would you go to a Bombshell concert?
