Chris Evans will be briefly stepping out of his star spangled ensemble and into the director’s chair!
Evans is a busy guy. Soon he’ll be promoting his third venture as Captain America, Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Next year he’ll be rejoining his fellow Avengers to film Age of Ultron.
Between those two projects, he’ll try his hand as a director with the film 1:30 Train! It’s been said that Evans plans to begin filming this fall, completing production before he dons his red-white-and-blues once more.
Deadline describes the film as “a romance in the vein of Richard Linklater’s Before Sunrise, focusing on two strangers who meet in Manhattan and spend one night together as the conflicts in their own lives become the basis for their exploration of each other and themselves.”
We’ve got to say – not what we expected from one of our favorite Marvel heroes! Nevertheless, it sounds great.
Best of luck to Chris Evans as he takes on the challenge of directing his first feature film!
