Los Angeles based Singer, Songwriter, and producer Jack Conway has steady been releasing tracks the last few months. Now, with his new release, “Not That Great”, Jack is diving a little more into his vulnerable side – letting us know, that even though there has been some positives in his life, he still suffers from passed trauma & not everyday is full of sunshine.
The new track is the fifth track this year, following his most recent tracks: Calluses, Stuck, As We Go, and his most recent track, Sad Songs. The emerging pop artist is set to release an EP, “INSIDE OUT”, later this year that will tell a story of perseverance through rough times, and will dive into personal experiences that many will be able to find comfort in. Reassuring them that no matter what they go through, they will prevail.
“Self Depreciation has become a strong suit for most of us these days – especially over the course of the pandemic. While I try to stay positive, I have my moments & definitely get down on who I am, as well as who I am not.” Jack explains.
“Not That Great” is a song that gives first hand look at the thoughts I have had or sometimes still do tell myself when I’m down. I’m human & I’ve suffered from the likes of depression, anxiety, eating disorders, abuse & much much more. Beyond the sadness & hardship though, the importance of this song is not to delve too deep into the darkness, but rather acknowledge that the darkness exists inside us all, yet realize that it is a choice to let it have existence or to let the light shine through.” Jack continues.
“Not That Great” is available on all of your favorite music streaming platforms, now. If you want to follow Jack’s journey, you can follow him on Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
