We have seen a lot of strange things happen on the Oscars red carpet over the years -- from Gary Busey scaring Jennifer Garner and Ryan Seacrest to Sacha Baron Cohen dressing up as a dictator and dumping the ashes of "Kim Jong Il" on the red carpet. This year, though, what stands out is probably more adorable than strange, as Jackie Chan brought two stuffed pandas!

So why would the Asian superstar known for his martial arts prowess would bring toys to Hollywood's most prestigious night?

“I am an ambassador of pandas,” Chan explained to E!'s Ryan Seacrest “After the earthquake, they got hurt. I raised them.”

In 2009, Jackie Chan adopted a couple of pandas at the Chengdu Giant Panda Research and Breeding Base, in Chengdu, Sichuan province, China. He was then appointed "Chengdu Panda Ambassador" by the local tourism authority.

The Giant Panda was once considered an endangered species up until 2016 when it was given an improved status as 'vulnerable' by the IUCN.

It is nice to think that support from celebrities like Jackie Chan may have had a hand in this success in conservation.

But it seems that Pandas are not the only advocacy that Chan is trying to bring attention to since one of the stuffed Pandas was donning a UNICEF pin. UNICEF represents the United Nations Agency, which provides assistance to children and their mothers in impoverished parts of the world. It is an organization that Chan has been deeply involved in before the pandas, when he was appointed a Goodwill Ambassador in 2004.

Chan plans on auctioning the two stuffed pandas, which he has named Chan La and Chan Zy, to help raise funds for conservation efforts.

"Together, they are LAZY (La and Zy)…because I will be the one bringing them all over the world! Ha ha" he wrote on his website as to why he gave them such names!

Could this man be anymore adorkable?
