James Marsters Cast in A Bread Factory

James Marsters is a very busy man! Along with his role in Marvel’s Runaways, he’s recently been cast in the dramedy A Bread Factory.

Having recently been announced as one of the parents on Marvel’s upcoming Runaways series, it looks like things aren’t slowing down any time soon for James Marsters. It was recently announced that the former Buffy the Vampire Slayer star has been cast alongside Emmy and Tony award winner Tyne Daly, Janeane Garofalo, Nana Visitor and Brian Murray in A Bread Factory.

This comedic drama will be released in two parts and is set at a community arts center in a small town. Filming has just started in Hudson, N.Y., with with Patrick Wang both writing and directing. On the small town setting, Wang had this to say:

“A small town turns out to be a great setting for thinking about many big themes: art and commerce, globalization, gentrification, changing social institutions, and new technology. Remembering my early days in theater and the women who were my teachers and directors, provided warmth and humor while staring these colder contemporary changes in the eye.”

Produced by Vanishing Angle production company, the dramedy will also star Jessica Pimentel of Orange Is the New Black, opera singer Martina Arroyo, Blue Blood’s Amy Carlson, Janet Hsieh and George Young, and Trevor St. John (Containment). Wang’s previous films include In The Family, winner of an Independent Spirit Award nomination for best first feature.

Marsters has announced back in February on his Facebook page that he was filming Marvel’s Runaways — though he couldn’t give away much beyond a sneaky shot of the inside of his trailer. He’s also recently announced that he will be making an appearance at Horrorhound Weekend in Indianapolis, so all you Spike fans now know where to go to get your vampire fix!

There’s no word as to who Marsters will be playing, but we’re sure he’ll be amazing in it no matter what!
