Fans of Don’t Trust the B**** in Apartment 23 are definitely sad to see the show go, but there’s something to look forward to! Not only has Krystin Ritter landed herself a pilot (Assistance, NBC) but as of today, James Van Der Beek has as well!
Van Der Beek has been confirmed to star in a new comedy pilot for CBS called Friends with Better Lives! The show itself has been described as “a group of thirty-something friends who each think the other has it better.” The producer on the project is Dana Klein, best known as a producer of Friends.
And if that hasn’t got your attention, how about this: James Van Der Beek has been cast as Will Stokes, a character described as a snarky, sarcastic, and soon-to-be-divorced gynecologist.

James Van Der Beek is currently appearing in the American production of The Gift in LA, and can also be seen in the upcoming Jason Reitman film Labor Day, alongside Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin.
