Academy-Award winner Jamie Foxx may have just found his new job. Foxx is apparently in serious negotiations to join Sony’s upcoming remake adaptation of “Annie”. Reports say that Foxx would play the role of Benjamin Stacks, a more updated Daddy Warbucks character.
Produced by Jay-Z and Will Smith, “Annie” has already found its title character. Fellow Academy-Award nominee Quvenzhane Wallis won the role of the spunky orphan girl after Willow Smith who was originally attached to the project backed out. Will Gluck (“Friends with Benefits”) is attached to direct, “Annie” with an expected release date around Christmas of 2014.
