Jason Isaacs Joins Keanu Reeves For “John Wick” Thriller

Staff Writer

Jason Isaacs, 50, has joined the cast of David Leitch and Chad Stahelski’s John Wick, according to a report by Digital Spy. The upcoming revenge thriller is already set to star Keanu Reeves and Willem Dafoe.

John Wick tells the story of a former hitman (Reeves) who becomes the target of a manhunt led by his old friend (Dafoe), after being hired by a criminal boss.

No word yet on who Isaacs is set to play, whether that be the main villain or just another lackey. Presumably he is among the film’s supporting cast, which also includes Alfie Allen and Michael Nyqvist.

The film’s directing duo are both stunt performers making their directing debuts. So while they’ll definitely be knowledgable regarding any action scenes, their directing skills will be what’s put to the test.

Filming is already underway in New York, with a due date scheduled for next year.

Isaacs is currently busy in London with the filming of David Fury’s World War II thriller Fury, where he joins an all-star cast that includes Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman and Michael Pena. Isaacs also has roles in upcoming films like Things People Do, Dawn and Rio, I Love You.
