Get excited Jay-Z fans! As announced in a Samsung advert during last night’s NBA Finals, Jay-Z is to release a new album!
In his own words, his 12th studio album, entitled Magna Carta Holy Grail “is about this duality of how you navigate through this whole thing, through successes, through failures, through this and remain yourself”
The Samsung commercial is key, however, in that the album will be FREE through a special app for the first one million users of the Samsung Galaxy S3, Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 2!
Samsung have reportedly paid $5 for each of these one million downloads, and so Jay-Z will be the first artist to have a platinum album prior to its official release! Impressive! This app will go live on June 24, and Magna Carta Holy Grail will luckily be available to everyone else worldwide on July 7!
You can check out Jay-Z’s Samsung ad below, which gives clues as to possible featured artists in the appearances of Pharrell and Timbaland!
