Could it be? Is it she? Could Jean Grey or the Phoenix be making an appearance in the upcoming The Wolverine or X-Men: Days of Future Past?
The latest poster for The Wolverine shows Famke Janssen’s character, Jean Grey, from the original X-Men movies in her epic pose that we saw at the end of X3. The Sumi-e ink-inspired image definitely has speculations that she’ll definitely be making an appearance, although there have been no reports to how big her role will be.
I have been waiting…and waiting for the possibility of seeing Jean Grey/Dark Phoenix to rise from the ashes and rejoin the series, and it looks like my dreams are finally coming true. With two new movies in the X-Men franchise underway, there is double the possibility that we will be seeing the rebirth of this character.
Here’s hoping if she does appear in either (or both) of these movies, that they stay true to her story. No gallivanting down a bunny-trail for entertainment’s sake studio execs!
