Jenny March Talks Debut EP ‘Madness’

“It’s an introduction into who I am as an artist and what my sound and style is like..”

Perfectly timed to coincide with Women’s History Month, Jenny March has released her girl-powered debut EP ‘Madness.’ The collection radiates confidence and strength through empowering lyrics and upbeat singles, every line and every track encouraging girls to be themselves and to not care about what other people think. Jenny is an artist who’s all about showing people what you are made of and not letting anything, or anyone get in your way, while also being someone who is not afraid to be vulnerable – as showcased through “Boys Think We’re Crazy.” ‘Madness’ exposes the many facets of and sides to Jenny March’s personality, both as an artist and a woman, and allows listeners to sink into the music’s female energy and come out on the other side feeling more in touch with themselves and March herself. PopWrapped caught up with Jenny to find out more about her new release.

Is there any particular inspiration to your latest single “SCREAM” and its music video?

“SCREAM” was actually inspired by me being uninspired, and a little lost during quarantine. I was stuck musically and confused emotionally and really wanted a sign that things were going to go back to normal. So, I wrote the track about what it’s like to be searching for something better and then how you feel when you find that thrill and excitement.

The song is taken from your new EP ‘Madness.’ How does it feel to have the collection out there now for everyone to hear and be inspired/uplifted by?

It’s special because it’s my debut EP, and because it’s my first, you want it to be what you’ve always dreamt it to be. It’s an introduction into who I am as an artist and what my sound and style is like, even more so than my previously released singles. I put a lot of time, energy and heart into creating this project and I couldn’t be happier with the result.

What do you want listeners to know about your debut EP?

There’s a variety of energies in the EP ranging from badass to self-conscious and emotional, that I hope you can feel throughout Madness. Some days are better than others and it shows the roller coaster ride of a life I live while exploring all of my personalities. I think there’s a song everyone can connect to on it.
