Big Bang Theory Star and the highest paid television actor for 2016, Jim Parsons, has officially married his long time partner, Todd Spiewak last Saturday night.
Parsons posted a sweet photo of him and his new husband holding hands, presumably after the ceremony, since they seem to be both walking away from the pulpit while guests applaud them from the background.
He captioned it with “5.13.17 Rainbow Room, NYC” referring to the date and the setting of the nuptials which is the iconic Rainbow Room restaurant in New York City.
Parsons and Spiewak, who is a graphic designer, just celebrated their 14th anniversary in November of last year. He marked the occasion with an Instagram post which showed a picture close-up picture of him and Spiewak holding a mic.
He captioned it with “I met this guy (the one with the mic) 14 years ago today and it was the best thing that ever happened to me, no contest. One of his greatest gifts to me is that he no longer takes me to sing karaoke.”
And just to show how old the picture is , the seemingly ageless actor who still looks exactly the same in the snap also wrote, “Also, I believe this was a selfie with an actual camera, as our phones couldn’t do that back then hahaha!”
But despite the longevity of their relationship, the two have been coy then about setting an actual wedding date.
In an interview with The View in 2015, he was asked whether he saw marriage in his future and he replied with, “So much of my adult life, that wasn’t really a possibility, and I have grown more interested in the idea, and certainly supportive of the notion, and if my (getting) married would help the notion in general, even that would be enough to make me want to do it,”
Well I guess that interest has truly grown since then. Congratulations to the happy couple, wishing you all the best!
