Although they may be celebrating the holy Star Wars day in London, away from their families, JJ Abrams and co-writer Lawrence Kasdan wanted to wish fans a happy May the 4th.
In a selfie video message, Abrams alluded to the fact that, with production underway, we should expect to hear more casting announcements soon. The core of the cast has already been disclosed and includes members of the original trilogy Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford.
In addition to Luke, Leia, and Han; prominent roles have been given to Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, John Boyega, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Daisy Ridley. Speculation has circled around Driver being a villain, but other than that, we aren’t yet sure what roles the new cast members will be portraying.
