It seems like Johnny Depp has gone mad again…or at least he’s in talks to do so.
Confused yet? Don’t be!
The folks over at Deadline are reporting that Depp is in talks to reprise his role as the Mad Hatter in a sequel to Tim Burtons, Alice in Wonderland.
The original film released in 2010 went on to gross over $1 billion worldwide; marking its spot in the very prestigious “$1 Billion Club”. James Bobin who recently directed the very successful Muppets will replace Burton as director for the sequel.
Depp putting back on that mad hat is no surprise to Wonderland fans as he was already rumored to have signed onto the awaited sequel back when Bobin was announced as director.
Johnny Depp is quite the busy bee with long list of movies on the way in the next couple of years. Among those are Pirates of the Caribbean 5 and the highly anticipated ensemble picture Into The Woods.
