When Jon Snow (Kit Harington) was stabbed to death by his fellow members of the Night’s Watch at the end of last season, Game Of Thrones fans were left wondering as to whether or not the character was indeed truly dead.
Now, after weeks of debate and on the back of recent sightings of the actor on the ‘Thrones’ set in Belfast, it looks like fans might finally have got the reassurance they were hoping for.
Harington did an interview recently with Belgian entertainment magazine Humo, and was asked (again) about his role on the hit HBO show. The conversation, when translated, read as follows:
Harington: I had to pass on amazing parts because I was attached to Game Of Thrones. So the show is like a double-edged sword to me; I owe a lot to it but at the same time it has almost completely drained me…the important thing is that I now know exactly how long I am still under contract.
Interviewer: How many more seasons would that be?
Harington: Let’s just say that Game Of Thrones will remain a part of my life for a while. I’ll probably be in my thirties when it’s over.
Harington is 28 and so this revelation suggests he’ll be attached to the show for the coming season due to air next year (cue fever pitch levels of excitement).
