Jon Stewart famously left the late night game, but he seems to miss talking about politics. Good thing his old friend Stephen Colbert is letting him talk.
Jon, who used to host The Daily Show, brought us a whole new way to talk about politics. His funny take on the political climate of our country became a staple for most late night talk show hosts.
So, when he decided to step down from the show, many of us mourned the loss of his voice. Especially now that Donald Trump has somehow become our president.
Lucky for us, though, old time friend and correspondent for The Daily Show, Stephen Colbert, now hosts The Late Show with Stephen Colbert -- meaning that Jon Stewart can take to the stage and say whatever he wants pretty much whenever he wants.
The video is very much what we used to expect from Stewart when he hosted The Daily Show. This time, he took on the media and their backlash from Donald Trump. In the segment, Jon talks about how much he misses it and how he left the farm to come talk about politics. Because, really, this is a time when we truly need the voice of Jon Stewart, and it feels weird being without.
Again, lucky for us, he has a best friend with a prime time cable network talk show who is willing to let Jon take over every once in a while, so we don't all lose our minds.
So watch and enjoy Jon taking on the currently political mayhem our country is in, and hopefully this means that he will frequent The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. We need him and his commentary now more than ever, and it seems like Jon wants us to hear it, too.
