With their comeback in full swing, the Jonas Brothers have hinted towards another concert movie in the future.
The band was on hiatus with each member going their own way: Kevin with a reality show on E!, Nick on Broadway, and Joe with a short lived solo singing career. Now the three are back together and are coming out with an album in the near future. They are also launching a North American tour this summer.
In 2009 the group released Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience which came with less than positive review. The film was composed of cheesy acting, not adequately displaying the purpose of a concert documentary film. Nick Jonas explained that if they do another concert film, “we would go for a more artistic approach and less just kind of pointing at the camera.” He goes on to say, “There’s only one time a drum stick comes out- everything else is just us looking dumb, so we will see.” On MTV News the three hinted towards a new and improved concert film in the future.
Author’s note: I attended one of their LA shows at the Pantages Theater in Los Angeles this past November and can confirm that filming occurred.
