Joss Whedon was asked recently during the Film Society of Lincoln Centre’s ‘An Evening with Joss Whedon’ which Marvel superhero he would most like to tackle writing and directing in a film. His answer?
“If I could get my hands on absolutely anybody it would be Batman.”
Currently, Whedon is hard at work on a sequel to last summer’s blockbuster hit The Avengers. The writer-director also put to rest some rumors and speculation regarding two characters – the Magneto twins Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver – and insisted that they would indeed be present in The Avengers 2 and that “they’re going to be awesome”.
