This is King Louie, beloved leopard tortoise and the pride and joy of YouTuber Oliver Turpin, who built Louie his very own Jurassic Park.
Turpin spared no expense to recreate the infamous island theme park from the first Jurassic Park film for King Louie to roam around in. The enclosure is a painstaking replica of the overrun park — right down to the broken fence, because, “if there is one thing the history of evolution has taught us, it’s that life will not be contained. Life breaks free.”
As you can see, right off the bat in the video from creator Oliver Turpin, there’s the iconic Jurassic Park entrance gate. Sadly, there’s no shot of the tortoise walking through the gate, but I’m sure it’s not easy to get a tortoise to follow a cue and hit a mark. Behind the gate, there’s a tiny replica of the visitor center, complete with tyrannosaurus rex skeleton design around the doors and a pool for him to swim in and drink from.
But perhaps the most appropriate touch is the broken electric fence, making it look like Louie the tortoise has taken advantage of the power being down in Jurassic Park, so he can trod around freely, feasting on grass at his leisure.
You can see the whole area in his video above. Not a bad life Louie, not bad at all.
